Cruise holidays are perfect for families, offering exceptional value for money and lots for everyone to do. At MSC Cruises we're totally committed to making sure everyone in the family has a great time. Our complimentary children's and teenagers' programmes deliver all manner of activities day and night. Our friendly, professional staff are there to look after your children so that while they're away having a great time, you get to enjoy your time with us too! We'll be on hand to entertain your kids from 9 in the morning until 10 in the evening and since different ages have different interests we’ve created clubs for children in three age groups. Each club offers age-focused activities with so much to do that your kids won’t ever come to you to complain about being bored! Parties, live shows, arts and crafts lessons, sports tournaments and adventures will keep them busy all day long.

Children Cruise Free All Year Round

Children under 18 travelling in the same cabin as two full paying adults CRUISE FREE! We also have special rates for children accompanied by just one parent in the same cabin. Or if you prefer to travel in two adjacent cabins with connecting doors then we can offer that arrangment too - something that won't find with many other cruise companies. Registration costs, insurance, flights and transfers (where required) are excluded from the offer.

Family Cabins

If you're travelling with the children and you'd like to have the kids in their own cabin then, on selected ships, we usually offer family accommodation in adjacent cabins with a connecting door. Enjoy your privacy or open the door – the kids are right next door! Call us for details.

Teen Card

The teen card is a pre-paid card that opens the door to MSC Cruises Ireland entertainment for your children. Let your kids enjoy themselves using it like a real credit card. You can keep an eye on what they spend and allow them to enjoy special teenage features with complete freedom.

Mini Club for Children aged 3-6 years

On all the ships of the MSC Cruises fleet there is a special area exclusively dedicated to children – cheerful and colourful. Safe and equipped play areas offer daily entertainment and plenty of space for running, exploring, diving, swimming and, most important of all...playing! The Mini Club is also available during excursions.

Junior Club for kids aged 7-11 years

Offering dedicate activities, sports, parties, games and shows the Junior's Club provides plenty of opportunities for kids to have fun while Mum and Dad relax and vice versa.

Children’s menu

Parents will be delighted with the MSC Cruises’ decidedly Italian food offer. For kids there are also Special Menus (Stellar, Polar, Jungle, Farm) designed to keep kids healthy and above all happy, whether they’re eating with their parents or in the care of their club supervisors, without mentioning the thousands of tantalising pastries and desserts. Plus, if your kids celebrate her/his birthday during the cruise, a fantastic birthday cake will be served at the end of dinner, including the candles!

Happy Dinners for kids aged 3 -11 years

Children are served their own dinner from the kids menu while parents are enjoying opening courses, so they can dine together as a family. Then, when kids have finished at their usual speed (in about 45 minutes) parents or entertainment staff take them promptly to the Happy Dinner Meeting Point near the entrance to the restaurant, where our staff accompany them to the Mini & Junior’s Club.

Fun Time Dinner for kids aged 3 -11 years

Children aged 3-11 can have dinner with entertainment staff for 4 evenings per week. With MSC Fun Time Dinners, children dine in a separate, specially decorated area of the buffet restaurant with the entertainment team, and then have fun in the Mini and Junior Club while parents enjoy a leisurely dinner alone, picking up the kids when they've finished.
The service is free of charge, limited places available, booking is requested.

DO-RE-MI

Younger guests will love MSC Cruises’ mascot, Do-Re-Mi. Not only does this smiley character feature on a range of products for children, he also makes live appearances during children’s parties at the pool or in the disco, as well as during boarding and disembarkation.

Teen's Club for kids over 13 years of age

MSC Teen's Club provides specialised entertainers to organise fun activities for teenagers. Treasure hunts and kids’ missions, talent shows, the Virtual World Arcade, trivia and dance contests…there’s even a newspaper in which they can write and draw about their preferred activities. There’s so much to do, we are sure they will want every day to be twice as long just to fit everything in. The programme changes daily to keep it all endlessly entertaining.

Teens Disco (Onboard MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida)

After the day-time fun is finished we get the evening parties going while the Teens Club Live holds events that include music live shows, Hip-Hop, Latin and group dancing, plus much more. There’s even a disco just for teens, a place they can call their own.

Teen’s Card

This personalised credit card will provide children aged 12 to 17, with more freedom of movement and allow them to spend small sums on board. Two options are on offer - from 30 euros (with bonus addition of 5 euros) and 50 euros (with bonus addition of 10 euros). These can be used on board like a proper credit card as well as a cruise card. When you board the ship you’ll be given a flyer describing all the benefits and an order form. This way, your Teens’ Card will be delivered directly to your cabin.

Mini Bowling

MSC Splendida an MSC Magnifica feature two innovative mini-bowling alleys in their high-tech Sports Bars. Every aspect of these ten-pin bowling alleys has been carefully designed for maximum entertainment and impact, including a traditional-looking bowling surface that is actually made of a tough phenol compound which allows anyone to join in the fun without changing shoes. The alleys are scaled down to work perfectly in a bar environment, stimulating people to mix and mingle, while even the bowls themselves are somewhat smaller than usual, making everything manageable for youngsters while still presenting a challenge to all. Increasing the fun, there are two large LCD electronic screens featuring interactive videogame animations with a choice of Ten Pin Tour and Turkey Shoot.

Nintendo Wii Consoles

MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida are equipped with 114 Wii consoles, including 9 Wii Sport consoles in the Sport Bar, 4 Wii fit stations with balance board in the Fitness Center, a competition console on the Sport Deck and a further console in the main pool area that’s connected to a massive 7x3 metres screen for public competitions and activities. Other consoles form part of the sumptuous fittings in the elegant suites of MSC Fantasia’s exclusive MSC Yacht Club complex.

Formula 1 simulator (onboard MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida)

Climb into a racing car to experience the adrenaline rush of travelling at high speed. This state-of-the-art simulator perfectly reproduces driving conditions in one of the fastest cars in the world! The flash of the green light, the pit stop, overtaking a rival and the chequered flag awaits as you experience all the excitement of the Grand Prix.

4D cinema (Onboard MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida)

For the ultimate virtual reality experience MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia feature the stunning 4D Cinema where cinema comes to life. A giant screen and special headphones for an audio/visual experience like never before.

Video games arcade

Our video games arcade has a wide range of games for all ages. Teens and adults will enjoy familiar amusements whilst grownups can challenge themselves on multi-player machines.

Acqua Park (Onboard MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida)

Its 150 fountains provide endless fun during the day and an astonishing spectacle when lit up to music at night.

Sport amenities

Onboard MSC Cruises ships sports amenities are equally extensive, with tennis, squash and basketball courts, shuffleboard, a jogging track and four swimming pools, including the amazing mini-golf.

Kids’ Pool (Onboard MSC Fantasia, MSC Magnifica, MSC Splendida)

Just as adults deserve their own swimming area, so children merit their own fun place for waterplay, too! MSC Fantasia boasts a thrilling waterslide and most of our cruise liner have children’s waterparks with fountains, whirlpools and waterfalls.
